Description Job Summary
The Director of Financial Reporting is responsible for the accurate and timely filing of the annual Form 10K and the quarterly Form 10Q in accordance with U.S. GAAP and seeks to provide the disclosures that are useful to all investors and stakeholders.
Job Duties And Responsibilities
Lead the accurate preparation and timely filing of Forms 10Q and 10K
Lead technical research efforts and provide subject matter expertise in the area of financial reporting in accordance with U.S. GAAP
Prepare quarterly technical update documents detailing all new pronouncements and their impact on the company and communicate to others impacted
Develop and implement a plan to keep informed of all FASB/SEC/NYSE developments
Establish and maintain a technical library keeping current all information related to financial reporting
Establish and conduct a U.S. GAAP technical training program
Review the quality of disclosures for SEC filings, Annual Report and Proxy
Review competitor disclosures well in advance of filings
Keep up-to-date on industry trends
Review analysts models and maintain library of analyst reports
Assists in the establishment of accounting policies and procedures
Establishes professional development goals for self and staff
Compensation negotiable depending on experience and credentials.
