Mid size privately held Healthcare organization is in search of a Controller to support the CFO with full financial responsibility and reporting. The role will also include various controls and compliance projects, acquisition support, etc. Growing company backed by a strong PE firm contributing to the growth.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Effectively manages the monthly closing process, ensuring that all relevant transactions are accurately recorded and allocated.
- Manages the weekly billing process for relevant entities and answers questions from clients.
- Establishes controls to ensure that all financial records for the company are complete, error free and comply with generally accepted accounting principles
- Completes relevant reports including weekly cash forecasts and reconciliation of daily cash receipts.
- Leads the company’s accounting team, including payables, receivables and general accounting. Recruits, trains and is responsible for evaluating accounting staff.
- Manages the annual audit process and tax preparation process
- Responds to requests for information from private equity investor, banks, vendors and other relevant stakeholders.
- Carries out special projects for the CFO
KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum 10 years of progressive accounting and management experience combined with CPA and Big 4 audit background.
- Exceptional analytical and communications skills and a “hands-on” orientation.
- Experience in Great Plains a plus.
